This song is about a Seattle affair that never caught fire, even though I hoped it would. She simply could not feel the things I did. At first I thought we had bad chemistry, but eventually came to realize she had an emotional black hole in her heart, and as with a black hole, the energy I offered went in and never came out. It kept me awake nights trying to figure her out. I thought about her when I walked around Green Lake. I tried to talk with her about her feelings, love, and a relationship, but never could get through. I think many of us have been in this situation. It sure can make you blue.
