Patagonia
Patagonia you make me feel
So real
Patagonia there must be magic here
Hear your song so clear
So clear
Patagonia your stars are so bright
Get me through tonight
Patagonia when I walk your hills
I feel free
I feel Free
Hummingbird fly on by
Red hawk turns in the sky
Jim dreams here
Feel his spirit here

Dusty trail good dog by my side
Feelin right
Red Mountain up there in the sky
In that special light
Oh that Light

Patagonia you make me feel
So real
Patagonia when I walk your hills
I feel free
Oh so Free
Hummingbird fly on by
Red hawk turns in the sky
Jim dreams here
Feel his spirit here
Jim dreams here

I regularly spend time in Patagonia, Arizona USA. Patagonia is a special place and several of my best songs were composed there. There is something magical about the light, the mountains, the people, and the night sky. Composing is a mystical thing and sometimes, if you pay attention, the songs come to you and you just have to write them down. That is how this song came to be.
The famous American author Jim Harrison spent his winters in Patagonia. He died at his writing desk in his Patagonia home in 2016. If you love good poetry and writing, check out his work. I met Jim at the Wagon Wheel Saloon in Patagonia. I must admit I did not know who he was when I first met him, but then learned he wrote the novella "Legends of the Fall" upon which the movie was based. His poetry is exceptional. His words have touched me deeply. For Jim and the wonderful people of Patagonia.

The good dog was Inca. Visit and support the Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve. The birds there will amaze you. Oh, and listen to KPUP radio when in town.
